Taking a break from school does not mean kids development is on vacation. Y Explorers offers participants fun and
educational experiences through weekly themes and daily activities that focus on achievement, relationships and
belonging. Come join us for the best summer ever! 

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 17

Required Paperwork: Upon completion of online registration process, you will receive a welcome email with a link to download and complete the Required Participant Paperwork.  Email completed paperwork to ycamps@bismarckymca.org WITHIN ONE WEEK OF REGISTRATION.  If you do not receive the welcome email within 24 hours of registration, please contact the School Age Director at mary.bowman@bismarckymca.org or by calling 701-751-9773.

 

2020 Y EXPLORERS WEEKLY THEMES

June 1-5: Krazy, Kolorful and Kooky - Spend the week showing off your favorite color combos! We’ll get messy and creative working with all the colors of the rainbow in many different ways!

June 8-12: Blast from the Past - It’s time to get retro! Come have a totally groovy trip through the decades.  Be prepared to take a far out journey with us as each day we explore a different era learning about popular trends, games, and music from the past

June 15-19: Splish, Splash - Don’t let the heat stop you! This will be one wild, wet and water filled week! Be sure to pack a swimsuit, goggles and sunscreen this week! We will also visit a water park this week!

June 22-26: Build it! - Oh, the things we can make, when we decide to innovate!  We are builders, creators and explorers. It’s time to astonish us with your impressive structures and creative contraptions.

June 29–July 2: Wacky and Wonderful - Help us celebrate your camp spirit with these daily camp themes! (Camp will not meet Friday, 7/3)

July 6-10: This Way to the Beach - Don’t let the heat stop you! This will be one wild, wet and water filled week! Be sure to pack a swimsuit, goggles and sunscreen this week! We will also visit a water park this week!

July 13-17: In the Spotlight - America’s Got Talent here we come! Move over American Idol! This week we will hone our talents until they are razor sharp! This week will end with a Talent Show Extravaganza like you have never seen before!

July 20-24: Superheroes - Help us save the World! We’ll enjoy a week at camp doing fun activities and great games. Campers will also celebrate all our heroes, from comic book heroes to real life heroes!

July 27-31: H2 Oh Yeah! - Don’t let the heat stop you!  This will be one wild, wet and water filled week!  Pack a swimsuit, goggles and sunscreen as we prepare to play extreme water games. We will also visit a water park this week!

August 3-7: Party in the USA - This is the week to learn something new from another state. We will be doing trick roping, line dancing, learn the hula, walk like penguines, have a red carpet gala event and runway model completion (boys are models too)!

DAILY SCHEDULE (subject to change - please refer to weekly newsletters for updated information)

7:30-9:00am AM EXTENDED DAY

9:00-9:15am OPENING CEREMONY: camp assembly, energize activity, announcements

9:15-9:30am HUDDLE: small groups meet with counselor, discuss theme and core value for the day

9:30-10:30am PLUG IN: small groups work on various activities, skill development, games, STEM activities or Field Trips

10:30-11:30am ENERGIZE: Campers are engaged in outdoor activities including gaga ball, hiking or themed activity

12:00-1:00pm LUNCH: Campers have lunch and participate in songs, large group games (sack lunch will need to be brought from home)

1:00-2:00pm POWER UP: Campers pick activity of their choice, field trips

2:00-3:30pm PLUG IN: small groups work on various activities, skill development, games, STEM activities or field trips

3:30-3:50pm HUDDLE: small groups meet with counselor, discuss theme and core value for the day

3:50-4:00pm CLOSING CEREMONY: camp assembly, reflection activity, announcements for next day

4:00-5:30pm PM EXTENDED DAY

Breakfast and snack included; campers will need to bring a nutritious sack lunch each day.

$65 non-refundable Registration Fee due at time of registration

Cancellations: A 30-day notice is required to withdraw from YDC programming. Families are financially responsible for tuition for the 30 day period.  Program cancellations must be made through the School Age Program Director.

$25 per week non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 1 week prior to camp to receive an in-house credit or refund for any payments made above and beyond the deposit.  After that date, no credit/refund will be issued.  Cancellations must be made through the School Age Program Director.

 

LOCATIONS

Monthly Rate Plan: You will receive notice of your child's assigned location at least 1 week prior to the program's start date.

Weekly Rate Plan: You will receive notice of your child's assigned location the week prior to each camp week.
