Lifeguarding Classes

Classes include American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid & Lifeguarding. All certifications are valid for 2 years. Participants must be 15 years on or before the last day of the session. Males must wear a boxer-style swimming suit & females must wear a one-piece suit. The following pre-requisites must be met:

  • 300-yard swim using front crawl & breaststroke
  • Retrieving an object from the deep end of the pool
  • Treading water for 2 minutes using legs only
     
  • Pretest must be completed prior to class
  • This is a blended learning course
  • Some work will be done online prior to in person meeting times online
  • Participants will receive a link at least 1 week before class to be completed before the first day of the session
