FULL TIME PRESCHOOL: AGES 3-4 YEARS

Y Preschool meets year-round and strives to serve the whole child, providing stimulation and positive experiences to enhance social, physical and mental development. We place a great deal of emphasis on the child’s self esteem.  Y Preschool uses Get Set for School curriculum and focuses on letter, shape and color recognition and each child will participate in structured gym activities and a weekly swimming lesson.

This center is a community partner-based center.  Employees of Basin Electric Power Cooperative, CHI St. Alexius health and Sanford Health may contact their HR departments to inquire about partner-based spots for infant-toddler care and preschool program availability. Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness programs are available to the community.  Call the YDC North Site Director for availability.

6:30-9:30       Welcomes, center play and breakfast

9:30-10:30     Activity time including teacher directed activities, Get Set for School Curriculum, music, swimming, plan-do-review activities

10:30-11:30   Large motor activities including gym time and outdoors

11:30-12:30   Circle time, lunch

12:30-2:30     Story time, rest

2:30-3:30       Snack, circle time

3:30-4:30       Outdoors and teacher directed activities

4:30-6:00       Center play

6:00               Centers close
